INCLUSIVE ACCESS (eBook Only or eBook with Courseware)

This class uses Inclusive Access (IA) course materials, which will be accessed through your D2L Brightspace account. As part of your registration for this course, you will be charged by the ARCC Business Office for access to IA materials and you SHOULD NOT pay for access in any other manner. If you choose to “opt out” of access to IA materials, you are responsible for securing the proper course materials on your own. For additional information, please visit the Campus Store (www.anokaramsey.edu/resources/campus-store) or by emailing [email protected] with questions or concerns

The goal is simple: To provide students with the right course materials on the first day of class at an affordable price. Inclusive Access (IA) provides advanced solutions for instructors that would like to take advantage of integrated functions like homework assignments, labs, or quizzes. You can also choose to just provide access to an eBook through D2L Brightspace. We have partnered with VitalSource to deliver Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s digital material through D2L Brightspace.

Inclusive Access (IA), other than traditional eBooks, is generally the cheapest option and the cost is added directly to the registered student’s account as a digital fee. Students can Opt-Out of the IA course materials using the link in D2L Brightspace before the last day to drop the course and will lose access to all materials immediately. The student is responsible for having any class materials the instructor requires and will need to order print copies or/and access codes elsewhere since alternatives will not be available through the Campus Store.

All students registered for the course will have access on the first day of class. Material can be read on just about any device, although they are most suited for PC use. Content is easily searchable, and notes and highlighting are available. Inclusive Access eBooks are term limited, and access is limited to the current semester.

DIGITAL BOOKS (Traditional books in digital format)

Traditional eBooks provide simple solutions for courses that do not require, or do not need integrated functions like homework assignments and quizzes. Material can be read just about on any device. Content is easily searchable, and notes or highlighting are mostly available depending on the application used.

When a student purchases a traditional eBook from the Campus Store, it will be available immediately once the order is processed. The student can access it by logging in to their Campus Store account (same account they use to purchase materials on the Campus Store website) and clicking on “Activate and access eBooks”.

ACCESS CODES (Advanced eBook with advanced functionality)

Access Codes provide advanced solutions for instructors that would like to take advantage of integrated functions like homework assignments, labs, and quizzes. Access codes are printed on physical cards that must be picked up in-store or mailed to the student for use. Access Codes are best suited for use on a laptop or desktop PC. Access Codes are term limited, and access to the materials are limited to the current semester.
